The patented TURBOMATIC thermal energy unit offers numerous benefits:
The TURBOMATIC thermal energy unit, specifically developed for the concrete industry, handles all batching plant heating requirements - including melting of ice, pre-heating and heating of aggregates, production of warm dosing water, heating of batching plant facilities, generation of warm wash/truck mixer fill water, heating of associated production halls and offices etc. - all in one single thermal energy unit:
- due to the TURBOMATIC's superior heating power it is possible to produce concrete at desired capacity even during the coldest of winters ie. to ensure the desired production of concrete at all temperature conditions and consequently to achieve increased annual (winter time) concrete production and thus concrete sales. Compared to air-based heating systems the TURBOMATIC is between 5-10x more powerful and can thus be used to produce significantly more concrete during the winter/cold weather conditions. The TURBOMATIC also utilizes a compressor to ensure penetration of the high-heat-content TURBOgas or -steam* into the silos. The possibility to heat each silo independently further increases the already superior heating power. * The TRBOgas/steam contains about 7x more energy than the same amount of air which is also introduced to the silos with low-pressure fans which does not ensure proper penetration.
- with the TURBOMATIC it is possible to produce high quality concrete at the desired capacity and temperature all around the year at any and all outdoor temperature conditions, however cold. With the TURBOMATIC it is possible to reach the desired concrete production capacity and temperature while maintaining the optimum cement-to-water-ratio at all times. The possibility to reliably and continuously produce warm concrete also means savings in cement usage and cost (through lower cement consumption and/or the possibility to use lower-cost cement qualities/types). The TURBOgas/-steam does not change the moisture content of the aggregates. Air-based heating systems dry the aggregates too much whereas steam-based systems add too much moisture (in an uncontrolled fashion!) and thus either lower the concrete production rate or destroy the concrete quality (water-to-cement-ratio).
- The TURBOMATIC also provides significant savings in the fuel consumption (per produced cubic-meter of concrete). The savings can be as high as 60-80% when compared to traditional air or steam based heating systems. The fuel oil consumption of the TURBOMATIC is typically 0.7-1.2 liters/m3 -concrete compared to 2.5-4.5 liters/m3 with air or steam based systems.
- the TURBOMATIC is environmentally friendly. It produces the lowest possible gaseous emissions and no waste water or condensates, chemicals or other wastes whatsoever. The TURBOMATIC's low NOx-burner technology further reduces the environmental impact.
- the fully automatic, PC-operated TURBOMATIC is fast, reliable, flexible and easy- to -operate. The fully automatic TURBOMATIC only consumes fuel when heat is needed (compared to steam boilers which have to be kept at stand-by at all times and therefore consume huge amounts of fuel even when heat is not needed). The TURBOMATIC also provides a large warm water storage (from 6000-12000 liters depending on model).
- the TURBOMATIC also provides the lowest possible operational costs as the TURBOMATIC is not a pressure vessel and does therefore not require any separate or certified operating personel. There are also no requirements for any annual authority inspections and due to the lack of a chimney sooting is not needed. There is also no need for any costly water treatment chemicals. The TURBOMATIC is manufactured utilizing only materials of the highest quality as well as high quality components and equipment in order to provide the lowest possible maintenance costs.
- The TURBOMATIC is a proven solution with more than 650 units in operation and over thirty years of experience.
